Open Innovation

I would like to propose a 2 hours panel discussion on the topic "Open Innovation - Lessons learned from Open Source" moderated by myself.

The basic idea is to have as many of the OSCOM.4 speakers gather in one room together with the participants and have an open, spontaneous, interdisciplinary discussion. Furthermore, it would be good to invite experts/scientists from e.g. economics, social science, et al. Once this proposal has been accepted, I would ask repsective persons I already know - of course, if you can recommend someone, let me know.
The objective of the panel is to apply and discuss concepts of knowledge exchanged already practiced in the Open Source community to other parts of society - be them companies, universities, etc.

I have already organised and moderated such an event in Tübingen/Germany, which was a 1-day open discussion. Information is available online, in German only: http://www.opcoso.org/EventsThinkathonTuebingen2004. Google provides you with a rough translation to English: http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.opcoso.org%2FEventsThinkathonTuebingen2004&langpair=de%7Cen&hl=de&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools
