Integration of Code and Content in Today's Dynamic Web Environment
Abstract
Most organizations recognize that their Web initiatives serve as a
principal interface for delivering key information. But the Web is also
becoming an integral part of other business processes, with companies
moving back and front office applications online. This shift is driving
the evolution of Web sites from “brochure-ware” to dynamic,
application-centric environments, making it difficult to separate Web
content from what is traditionally classified as software development.
This presentation will (1) explore these changing market conditions, 2)
highlight the importance of an integrated approach to managing Web site
code and content, and (3) discuss best-practices for implementing a Web
content management solution that ensures technical quality and control
while preserving creative freedom.
